Meet Jillian

With over 13 years of experience as a school counselor, I understand both the clinical side of mental health and the realities of working in schools. I've supported students and staff through crises, collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, developed comprehensive school counseling programs, and trained school staff to better support student well-being.

Whether you're looking to strengthen your school's crisis intervention protocols,, provide professional development for staff, or consult on student support systems, I offer practical, collaborative guidance tailored to your team's needs.

Consulting services may include…

  • Crisis response planning and consultation

  • Suicide prevention and risk assessment support

  • Implementing trauma informed practices

  • Case consultation for school counselors

  • Grief counseling trainings

  • Support building a comprehensive school counseling program

My Approach

My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in real-world experience.

I believe the best professional development leaves people feeling energized and not jaded or overwhelmed. Whether I'm consulting with school leaders, presenting to educators, or collaborating with counseling and leadership teams, my goal is to provide strategies that are evidence-based, applicable, and sustainable.

I strive to create trainings that are engaging, conversational, and tailored to the unique needs of your staff and students.

Experience

Before opening Wild Flora Therapy, I spent more than 13 years working as a school counselor in public education.

Throughout my career I have:

  • Supported students from diverse backgrounds through academic, social-emotional, and mental health challenges.

  • Served on school crisis response teams.

  • Provided suicide risk assessments and coordinated crisis intervention.

  • Developed counseling curriculum and school-wide supports.

  • Mentored fellow school counselors.

  • Facilitated professional development and staff trainings.

  • Collaborated closely with administrators, educators, families, and community providers.

This combination of school counseling and clinical mental health experience allows me to bridge the gap between education and mental health in a way that is both practical and compassionate.
